For the past few months, I’ve been on the lookout for a fur, or faux fur collar to add to coats and jackets that I already own. I love the look when a collar is worn with something more casual and unexpected. This girl has a really cool vibe in pairing her fur collar with a slouchy anorak. I have a beat up army jacket that I’d love to wear with a collar just like that.
As far as I can tell, Ebay is the best source for collars like these. I did a search for vintage fur collars and several worthy options popped up. Check out this one:
Here’s the link if you’re interested.
Have any of you seen any good options in stores?
Rihanna performed her song “Rehab” on Sunday night at the American Music Awards. She donned this getup and, I kid you not, she started the song wearing a bedazzled eye patch. This outfit reminds me of something.
What could it be? What could it be…
Oh that’s right - the fiercest pair of shoes I’ve ever seen! All that hardware (sigh). I die.
Christian Louboutin for Rodarte SS/08. shoe photo cred: jak&jil.
Sparkle and shimmer and shine. Let the holiday parties begin!

Both of these dresses are from Forever21. I bought the sequinned one and the little cardigan next to it. Super cute! The dress appears to be higher quality than I would normally expect for the price. The cardigan has subtle dark purple and black leopard print with sequins at the waist and sleeves. It is a fun versatile piece for the chilly winter weather.
I love these photos of Leigh Lezark. The dark and mysterious vibe feels so right at this time of year. These days, I’m using her as inspiration for my night out looks.
Just lovely.
Nicole Richie has been out and about lately. She looks really great. It seems that motherhood agrees with this woman.

Her makeup looks fabulous here and I love the silky flow of this dress. The clutch adds some interest to the otherwise monochrome look.
She also appeared at an H&M launch party for their Divided collection:
I think this has become a signature vibe for Nicole and it serves her well. She looks very chic, but young and fun.
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen SHUTTING IT DOWN once again! This was taken at yet another book signing for their new book Influence.
I really like both of these looks. Mary Kate’s red belt and open-toed booties are fab. I really like Ashley’s shimmery metallic jacket/cardigan.
Chloe Sevigny is always one of my favorite celebrities to watch. She is fearless when it comes to her sartorial choices. I haven’t seen a lot of recent pics of her, so I was happy to spot her in this amazing look. Pastel is an unusual choice for Fall, but Chloe pulls it off with aplomb. She is wearing head to toe Balenciaga. Georg!
